LIABILITY TO GOD
If man is by nature an 'immortal soul', is required to have an eternal destiny somewhere, either somewhere in reward or punishment. This implies that we are all accountable to God. By contrast, we have shown how the Bible teaches that man is by nature like animals, without inherent immortality. However, some have been offered the prospect of eternal life in the kingdom of God. It should be obvious that not all who have lived will be resurrected, like the animals, man lives and dies, and decomposes in the dust. However, as there will be a trial in which some be condemned and other recipients of eternal life, we must conclude that there will be a certain category among mankind, which will rise to be judged and rewarded.
If someone raises or not depends on whether or not responsible to be brought to trial. The basis of the trial will be as we have responded to our knowledge of the Word of God. Christ said: "He who rejects Me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day" (John 12:48). Those who have not known or understood the word of Christ, and therefore had no opportunity to accept or reject, not be responsible to be brought to trial. "For all that without law [without knowing the law of God] have sinned without law will also perish and all that under the law [ie, knowing] have sinned, the law will be judged" (Romans 2: 12). So that those who have not known God's requirements as animals perish, while those who knowingly break the law of God will be judged, and therefore rise to face this trial.
view of God, "where no law, not impute sin", "sin is lawlessness," "through the law comes knowledge of sin" (Rom. 5 : 13; 1 Jn. 3:4, Rom. 3:20). Without knowledge of the laws of God as revealed in his word, "not impute sin" to a person, "and therefore will not be judged or raised. Therefore, those who do not know the word of God will remain dead such as animals and plants, as they are in the same situation. "The man who ... not understand, is like the beasts that perish "(Ps. 49:20)." Like sheep being led to hell "(Ps. 49:14).
Have knowledge of the ways of God is what makes us responsible to Him for our actions and therefore requires that we rise and appear before the court. Therefore, it should be understood that not only resurrected righteous and the baptized, but all those who are responsible before God on account of their knowledge of him. This is a biblical theme often repeated.
- John 15:22 shows that knowledge of the word comes responsibility: "If I [Jesus] had not been, nor would have spoken, would have no sin: but now have no excuse for their sin." Also Romans 1:20,21 says that knowing God leaves men without excuse.
- "So, everyone who heard the Father, and learned from him ... I [Jesus] will raise him on the last day" (John 6:44,45).
- God only "ignores" the actions of those who genuinely ignorant of their ways (Acts 17:30).
- Because Belshazzar knew he had to submit to the superiority of the Lord but turned it down, therefore he was punished (Daniel 5:22).
- "That servant who knows the will of the Lord, not prepared, nor did according to his will, shall receive many lashes. But he that knew not and did things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few [ie remain dead] because everyone to whom much is given, much is required: and to whom much been committed, more will be asked "(Luke 12:47,48). How much more will God?
-" Him that knoweth to do good, and it does it is sin "( Stg. 4:17).
- Israel's special responsibility before God was on revelations that he gave of himself (Amos 3:2). "I will destine you to the sword, and all of you I bow down to the slaughter, because when I called, did not answer, I spoke to, and not heard, but did evil "(Isaiah 65: 12).
- Because this doctrine of responsibility," would have better been [to those who later turned away from God] not have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it, turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them "(2 Peter 2:21). Other relevant passages include: Jn. 9:41; 3:19, 1 Tim. 1:13; Os. 4:14; Deut 1:39.
As knowledge of God makes us responsible to the court, it is logical that those without this knowledge is not rise given that do not need to be judged because of their lack of knowledge makes "like ... the beasts that perish "(Ps. 49:20). There are ample indications that not all who have lived rise:
- People the ancient nation of Babylon will not rise after death because they knew the true God (Jer. 51:39; Isaiah 43:17).
- Isaiah encouraged to himself: "Lord our God [of Israel], other lords beside thee have had dominion over us [for example, the Philistines and the Babylonians] ... They are dead, not live [again] ... shall not rise ... got rid all memory "(Isaiah 26:13,14). Note here three times emphasized that they do not rise, "Do not live [again] ... shall not rise ... got rid his memory." By contrast, Israel had the prospect of resurrection because of their knowledge the true God: "Thy dead [of Israel] shall live, their bodies shall rise" (Isaiah 26:19).
- Talking about the people of Israel of God, we are told that the return of Christ "many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life and some to shame and everlasting contempt" ( Dn. 12:2). So "many" but not all Jews will rise because of their responsibility before God as His chosen people. Those who are totally ignorant of the true God will fall and never rise up "given that they can not find" the word of the Lord "(Amos 8:12,14).
1. The knowledge of God's word comes responsibility before Him
2. Only those responsible will be resurrected and judged.
3. Therefore, those who do not know the true God will remain dead like animals.
The implications of these findings are a blow to human pride and naturally prefer to believe: the millions of people, both at present and in history, who have been ignorant of the true gospel, those with mental disabilities who can not understand the message Bible, babies and young children who died before she was old enough to appreciate the gospel, all these groups fall within the category of those who have not had the true knowledge of God and therefore are not accountable to Him This means that not rise regardless of the spiritual level of their parents. This goes completely against the essence of humanism and against all our natural desires and feelings, however, true humility toward the ultimate truth of God's word, coupled with a properly humble opinion of our own nature, we will accept the truth this. A frank examination of the facts of human experience, even without the guidance of Writing, will lead us to the conclusion that there can be no future life expectancy for the above groups.
Challenging the ways of God in these matters is a mistake: "Oh, man, who art thou that replies against God?" (Romans 9:20). We admit our lack of understanding, but we must never accuse God of injustice. The implication that God can, in some ways to be cruel or wrong opens up the horrifying possibility of an Almighty God, Father and Creator, who treats his creatures in a way unreasonable and unfair. The story of the death of his youngest son David is a useful reading. 2 S. 12:15-24 relates how David prayed a lot for the child while he was alive, but realistically, he accepted the irreversibility of death, "the child was still alive, I fasted and wept, saying," Who knows if God will have mercy on me, the child may live? But now who has died, why should I fast? can I bring him back? ... He did not return to me. " Then David comforted his wife and had another child as soon as possible.
Finally, it must be said that many people to grasp this principle of accountability to God, feel that they wish to acquire more knowledge of him if they have to be accountable to Him in trial. However, to some extent is likely that such people and are accountable to God, given their knowledge of the Word of God has made them aware of the fact that God is working in their lives, offering a real relationship with Him Always remember that "God is love," He does not want "anyone to perish," and that "he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have eternal life" (1 Jn. 4:8, 2 Peter 3:9, Jn. 3:16). God wants us in his kingdom.
Such an honor and privilege inevitably carries with it responsibilities. However, they are not intended to be too cumbersome or costly for us. If we truly love God, we appreciate your offer of salvation is not an automatic award of certain works, but an affectionate desire on their part to do whatever he can for their children to grant them an eternal life of happiness, when they recognize the God's wonderful character.
the extent that we recognize and hear the call that God makes us through His Word, we realize that while we walked through the crowd, God is watching with particular intensity, looking anxiously for signs of our response to love, rather than waiting to fail to live up to our responsibilities. Never away the loving vigilance of us can never forget or cancel our knowledge of Him in order to satisfy the flesh, free from accountability to God. Instead, we can and we should rejoice in the special closeness we have with God, and so confident in the greatness of his love, to always try to learn more about Him instead of less. Our love for God's ways and desire to know, so we can copy it more accurately, should overcome our natural fear of His supreme holiness.
