BASIC PRINCIPLES OF THE BIBLE

3.2 THE PROMISE IN EDEN

In Genesis Chapter 3 tells the story of the fall of man. The serpent was cursed by misrepresenting the word of God and tempting Eve to disobey. The man and woman were punished for their disobedience. But comes a ray of hope in this dark picture when God tells the serpent:

I will put enmity [hatred, opposition] between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; this [the seed the woman] shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel "(Gen. 3:15).

This verse contains multiple teaching, we need to carefully define the various elements that there is mentioned. A "seed" means a descendant or child, but can also be plural and mean descendants or children. We shall see that the "seed" of Abraham was Jesus (Gal. 3:16), but if we are "in" Jesus by baptism, then they are the seed (Gal. 3:27-29). The word "seed" also refers to the idea of sperm (1 Peter 1:23), so a true seed have the characteristics of his father.

Therefore, the seed of the serpent must refer to what he has family resemblance to the serpent,

-distorting God's word

-lying

-leads others to sin

In Study 6 we see that there is a literal person to do this, but something inside us:

- "our old man" of the flesh (Rom. 6:6).

- "natural man" (1 Cor 2:14).

- "the old man which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts" (Eph. 4:22).

- "the old man with his deeds" (Col. 3:9).

This "man" of sin within of us is the "devil" of the Bible, the serpent.

The seed of the woman was to be a specific person: "You [the snake] shall bruise his heel" (Gen. 3:15). This person was to destroy forever the serpent, that is sin, "he will crush your head." Hitting a serpent's head is deal a mortal blow, given that his brain is in his head. The only person as a likely candidate for seed of the woman must be the Lord Jesus

- "Jesus Christ, which [by the Cross] took his death [and therefore the power of sin - Ro . 6:23] and brought to light life and immortality through the gospel "(2 Tim. 1:10).

-" God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh ", ie the devil of the Bible, the serpent (Rom. 8:3).

" Jesus "appeared to take away our sins" (1 Jn. 3:5).

- "Thou shalt call his name Jesus [meaning 'savior'] because he will save his people from their sins" (Matt. 1:21).

Jesus was literally "born of woman" (Gal. 4:4). He was the son of Mary, Although his father was God. In this sense, he was also the seed of the woman, but not the seed of man, since it had no human father. This seed of the woman had to be temporarily hurt by sin, the seed of the serpent: "Thou shalt bruise his heel" (Gen. 3:15). The bite of a snake in the heel is usually a temporary wound compared to the irreparable damage to hit a snake on the head. Many figures of speech have biblical roots, 'Hit it on the head' (ie, stop or end something completely) is probably based on this prophecy about Jesus who struck the serpent's head.

The condemnation of sin, the serpent, came through the sacrifice of Christ on the cross, note how the verses already cited speak of the victory of Christ over sin in the past tense. Therefore, the temporary wound that Jesus suffered on the heel is a reference to his death for three days. His resurrection proved that it was only a temporary wound compared with the fatal blow he gave to sin. Interestingly, extra-biblical historical records indicate that crucifixion victims were nailed to wooden stake going through the heels. Thus, Jesus was "wounded in the heel ' by his death. In Isaiah 53:4,5 states that Christ was "wounded God." This clearly alludes to the prophecy of Genesis 3:15 that Christ would be wounded by the serpent. Eventually, however, God used the evil that Christ faced, so that He is described here as the executor of the disease (Isaiah 53:10), because he controlled the forces of evil that injured his son. So God also of the bad experiences of each of their children.

CONFLICT TODAY

But perhaps you could ask the question: "If Jesus has destroyed sin and death (the snake) Why are still present? The answer is that on the cross Jesus destroyed the power of sin in itself, the prophecy of Genesis 3:15 refers primarily to the conflict between Jesus and sin. This means that because he has invited us to share his victory, we too can finally conquer sin and death. Of course, those who are not invited to share his victory, or declining the offer, they must inevitably experience the sin and death. Although sin and death are also experienced by true believers, through its relationship with the seed of the woman to be baptized into Christ (Gal. 3:27-29), can be forgiven of their sins and, therefore, may ultimately be saved from death, which is the result of sin. Thus, in perspective, Jesus "abolished death on the cross (2 Tim. 1:10), but not until God's purpose for the earth is completed at the end of the millennium, people will die, when death will never again exist on earth: "For he must reign him [in the first part of the kingdom of God] until he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy shall be destroyed is death "(1 Corinthians 15:25,26).

If we are "baptized into Christ", then the promises concerning Jesus, like that of Genesis 3:15, become personal to us, no longer only interesting parts of the Bible are prophecies and promises which also includes us! Those that have been properly baptized into Christ by immersion in water, take part in his death and resurrection, symbolized by the time they leave the water (see Rom. 6:3-5).

If we are truly in Christ, then our lives reflect the words of Genesis 3:15, within us there will be a constant sense of conflict ("hostility") between good and evil. The great apostle Paul described an almost schizophrenic conflict between sin and their true selves struggling within him (Romans 7:14-25).

After baptism in Christ, this conflict with the sin that is naturally within us, and should increase and continue throughout our days. In one sense it is difficult because the power of sin is strong. But in another sense it is not, given that we are in Christ, who has fought and won the conflict.

The first seed of the serpent was Cain. Unlike the snake, which had no moral understanding, Cain understood what was true and what was the lie, and he understood what God required of him, but he preferred follow the thought of the serpent that led him to kill and lie.

Since the Jews were the people who really killed Jesus, ie, injuring the seed of the woman in the heel, it is assumed that they were the prime examples of the seed of the serpent. John the Baptist and Jesus confirmed this:

"Seeing him [John] that many of the Pharisees and the Sadducees [the group of Jews who condemned Jesus] came to his baptism, he said: Generation [ie, generated or created by] snake [snake]! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? " (Matt. 3:7).

"Jesus knew their thoughts [the Pharisees] said to them, generation of vipers, how can you speak good, being bad?" (Mt. 12:25,34).

The world has the same characteristics of the snake. Only those baptized into Christ participate in the seed of the woman, all the others, to varying degrees, are the seed of the serpent. The way Jesus treated people who were the seed of the serpent, should serve as an example:

"Although he preached in a spirit of love and true interest,

"It allowed them influenced him with their customs and ways of thinking, and

-
showed them the loving character of God for the way he lived.

However, for all that they hated him. His effort to be obedient to God became jealous. Even his family (John 7:5; Mr. 3:21) and close friends (John 6:66) they put obstacles and some even walked away from it physically. Paul suffered the same experience when he complained to those who until then had remained with him in the good and the bad fortune

"Have I done, because your enemy, by telling you the truth? "(Gal. 4:14-16).

The truth is never popular, learn and practice as we should always create some kind of problem, it could even result in persecution:

"But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit [by the true knowledge of God's word - 1P. 1:23.], So now "(Gal. 4:29).

" is an abomination to the just unjust man and the ungodly abomination the straight paths "(Proverbs 29:27) . There is a mutual antagonism the believer and the world.

If we are truly united with Christ, we experience something of their suffering so that they too can share in his glorious reward. Again, Paul gives us this as a unique example:

"Therefore I endure all things ... is a faithful saying: If we died with Him [to Christ], we shall also live with him: if we suffer [ with it], we shall also reign with him ... " (2 Tim. 2:10-12).

"If I [Jesus] have persecuted me, also persecute you ... all you do because of my name" (John 15:20,21) that is, because we are baptized in the name of Jesus (Acts 2:38, 8:16).

First verses like these is tempting to reason as well: "If that's all what I expected for being united with Jesus, the seed of the woman, I prefer to abstain." But of course, we were never asked to suffer something that we can not bear. Although we definitely requires dedication to fully unite with Christ, our union with him will result in a glorious reward "that our present sufferings are not comparable with the glory that is revealed to us" (Romans 8:18) . And even now, their sacrifice allows our prayers in which ask for help against the traumas of life are especially powerful before God. And add to this glorious assurance follows:

"God is faithful, who will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear, but will with the temptation also out so that you can stand" (1 Cor 10:13).

"These things I have spoken to that in me ye might have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take heart I have overcome the world" (John 16:33).

"What shall we say to this? If God be for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8:31).

THE BIBLE AND THE POPE ROMANO, PART II EYE

The Pope should be preaching the Everlasting Gospel,

Thus fulfilling the commission given to the Church:

As we noted before, the Gospel is the event of Calvary . It is the means by which God accomplished His purpose of living forever with His creatures to the end times of this century (see Ephesians 1:10). In the Gospel we achieve freedom from condemnation, and Paul declares: "And now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus ..." (Romans 8:1). The Gospel is God's reconciling act in Christ (2 Cor 5:19). Therefore: "Being justified by faith we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ" (Romans 5:1). That peace which the gospel brought to God is the same peace which Christ referred when he said: "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give, I do not give as the world giveth ..." (Jn. 14:27). Notice how Christ makes a distinction between world peace and the peace he leaves us. Certainly that world peace is really unreachable. The man will always be at war with itself and with God. Peace is actually an attribute of the new century. Therefore, to preach the gospel is the only true way to find peace with God and war to the world and their interests: "These things I have spoken to that in me ye might have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take heart I have overcome the world "(John 16:33). Christ and His gospel and His forgiving love, are the true peace. He who accepts that blessed hope, therefore lives in peace with others, but we rejected that prospect does not believe that God has placed, and no peace will never, on the contrary, as the apostle said: "... when say, Peace and safety, then sudden destruction cometh upon them ... "(1 Thes. 5:3).

Everlasting Gospel is that glorious what gives meaning and rationale be to the Church and ministry. Apart from the Gospel, what remains are human debris, darkness and shadows. Preaching the Gospel means to preach the coming kingdom and a new heaven where dwell peace and justice (see II Peter 3:13). The Gospel is not what has been done for us now, but that is what God has done for us in Christ.

Papal ministry obviously not known for talking of peace and eternal justice, but rather to speak of peace and justice in the present. It is to persuade the kings and rulers of the earth to reach what the Bible says and says he will be missed, but on the contrary, worsen to such an extent that if the days are shortened, no flesh would be saved (see Matthew 24:22).

is not, as some think, to pretend to shun our responsibility to society. It is, quite simply, we want and put things in a clear order in which the Word of God stands, therefore reverse that order is really catastrophic in terms eternal that is ultimately what counts. Christ's call was: "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and all these things shall be added" (Matt. 6:33).

The best favor you could do the King (the Pope) the world would be to give a radical in his preaching and get to promote the kingdom to come in their "famous" homilies. You could also talk less about justice and fairness and, as Peter said, placed in a position to exemplify with facts and not with them, their proposals. Well that could be conducted with a greater degree of humility and live like Christ, poorly. To propose, no one has ever been affected, so politicians and so forth both, but "from words to action is a long way." The only ones really affected are proposing the preachers of the Gospel, because as the great apostle: "And all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution" (2 Tim. 3:12).

really Roman Catholic theology is characterized in that during the course of church history has rejected the gospel objective, historical and preached universal men like Paul, Luther, Melanchthon and others. Rome has always sought to place the works of the believer as a cause of salvation. Despite the doctrinal differences that certainly exist between the reformers of the sixteenth century, they also reached unanimous in accepting the great truth of the Gospel or the righteousness which is by faith alone. They also reached the conclusion that if the Pope was opposed to this central truth and proposed salvation by faith plus works (and still does), then the Pope was the Antichrist.

conclude, then, seen and evaluated from all aspects, neither the Pope nor the Roman Curia preach the Everlasting Gospel, and yes another gospel. Therefore, the advice of Paul acojámonos listed in Galatians 1:8, which reads: "But though we or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel than that which we have preached, let him be accursed."

Conclusion

If these arguments have not convinced the reader that the Roman Pope is the antichrist, let us turn our attention towards largest Bible prophecy, I referred to the prophecy of the fourth beast of Daniel that appears in the seventh chapter of his book.

If we find out what is the power represented by the beast of Daniel 7:7 is necessary to summarize all the features that the Bible says on that power and then go to history to see which can meet every one of them. The features offered by Daniel in his book, Paul and John the Seer of Patmos, are:

1) A man who speaks eloquently (Daniel 7:8):
Can anyone doubt that this identifying feature or clearly mark the Roman pontiffs, in particular, the polyglot John Paul II?

2) Take down three kings to achieve absolute power (Daniel 7:24):
Papal King also met this remark, as the Papal origin story tells us that the Heruli, the Vandals and the Ostrogoths those opposed to the election as pope of the Roman bishop, were submitted by military force and fell before him as the prophecy says.

3) For the saints of the Most High (Daniel 7:25):
There can be no doubt regarding compliance with this signaling. History is our dictator and, therefore, no one can deny that the Roman king is here also mentioned. The massacres, wars, and inquisitions were methods that characterized this religious power.

4) think to change times and laws (Daniel 7:25):
is obvious that Daniel refers to the law of God, as the law of men is capable of being changed by them. So, we, therefore, that the only power in history has proclaimed with authority to alter the law of God, has been the Roman ecclesiastical power with the Pope as absolute director. Antiochus Epiphanes, whom the Church Catholic states like the fourth beast of Daniel 7:7, was never involved with the moral law of God, therefore, does not satisfy this signaling Bible, and we must dismiss it as such.

Antiochus was a king who belonged to the third beast of Daniel 7:6, the Greek Empire, which was divided into four kingdoms (four heads as stated in the prophecy) and this (Antiochus) a descendant of Seleucus (one of the generals who participated in this division, which occurred following the death of Alexander the Great). Therefore, if Antiochus is mentioned under the third beast can not belong to the fourth beast, which is a different rule, to be involved in such a religious symbolism (which itself makes it different as it emphasizes the prophecy) -. This specification of Daniel 7:25, undoubtedly, is an allusion to the Papal King an exclusive basis and may not apply to any other political power per se.

5) For wisdom will prosper (Daniel 8:25):
You need to be smart or clever to get to gain power and recognition that these men have achieved in the course of history. But how is it possible that the deception has prospered so much and so in his hand so that "... all the world wondered after of the beast "? (Rev. 13:3).

6) In your heart is magnify (Daniel 8:25):
is extremely easy to support this specification. The "Pope" Holy Roman truly believe, this being contrary to the findings of the Almighty in His Word, who by His apostle tells us: "As it is written: There is none righteous, no not one for [...] All have sinned and come short of the glory of God, being justified freely by his grace ... "(Romans 3:10, 23-24). The Pope allows you kneel in front and he kissed the ring, but Peter, dis your predecessor, did not allow (See Acts 10:25-26 in this regard).

7) With peace shall destroy many (Daniel 8:24-25):
Peace has always been the constant refrain Papal, but not the peace of the Gospel, but the temporary peace, as we noted above . This specification is also satisfied at all by the historical figure in question. Destructive wars and persecutions that this power has been triggered by encouraging others to fight for it, have already been identified by history. Daniel said would strengthen, but not by his own (8:24). That course!, Right?

8) Object of worship:
now see a remarkable feature that the apostle Paul said, referring to this character: "... who opposes and exalts himself against all that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sitteth in the temple of God as God posing as God "(2 Thes. 2:4). Obviously, the opposition here is not mentioned outright, but of a more subtle and buried, because obviously in place of God. The word "antichrist" takes the idea of one that even being a substitute for Christ, he does not to channel the work of the Lord, but rather to distort and divert not be revealed. Is that the same method as stated in other writings the apostle and which characterizes Satan and his ministers let's see: "And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. So it is not surprising if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works "(2 Cor 11:14, 15).

We encourage you to help you discover what God has revealed clearly in His Word, which is the BIBLE. Do not let yourself be a victim of deception represented by traditional Roman Catholicism. I should point out emphatically that might continue for a long time evaluating the doctrines of that denomination, or even find one that harmonizes with the clear Word of God written in the Bible. However, we are satisfied with haberles brought two of the most noted distortions that Rome has tied its claim underground to fight God. The principle of closeness to God that Scripture says simply and crystal clear is the objective method of dependency in our representative and Savior. The Lord Jesus Christ paid the price for our involvement almost two thousand years, when he gave his life in return for all they want, by faith, become part of that glorious new century is about to demonstrate. Is that the only principle that leads to eternal life, while Rome has tried to alter the basis of our salvation by declaring at the Council of Trent that man is saved by faith plus personal conduct. We agree that the man of faith is conducted fairly well, but we can not agree that the moment of salvation the conduct count. Never! The apostle Paul ends his speech in chapter 3, verse 28 of Romans, as follows: "We conclude, therefore, that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law." Note that Paul comes to an irrefutable conclusion. This difference may seem irrelevant or inconsequential, however, I warn the dear reader that accepting the Roman method of approach to God (faith plus works) brings death as a result, it leads to self-sufficiency, the hubris and the neutralization of the one and only action by man to achieve eternal life, which is the complete and utter dependence on Christ. That's how important this matter is, therefore, Daniel, saying this barbarism in his prophecy calls it a matter of brute magnitude.

We have presented, in addition, to your consideration, the sad reality that the Papal chair was not established by God, but is rather a position created by men in history. Christ never appointed Peter his vicar. The Bishop of Rome "ran" and today as "Papa" has become a symbol of opulence terraqueous. The humble carpenter from Galilee would say, "My kingdom is not of this world" and further stated: "The Son of Man has neither how to lay his head."

're warned: Follow a despotic system has come to the torture of persecution is a path of death. The initial torturer, Don Inocencio III, is a literary cunning. How is it possible to call him a gentleman Inocencio so perverted? If I were a member of that church, tomorrow and would run me away from that ideology unhealthy, would give a ninety-degree turn to follow the Lord Jesus and his principles of nobility, fairness, justice and humility. I would say with Christ: "Be like me who am meek and lowly in heart"! That's the flag we fly, the bloody flag, symbol of the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. We made the beast of Daniel 7 in the open.
