On the afternoon of May 2nd I attended the meeting of bloggers, that the Pontifical Council for Social Communications held in the Vatican. Father Lombardi, director of the entire Vatican communications policy, commented that he thought he was entering another world. He met our faces happy, satisfied and full of warmth. The truth is that being invited to a meeting of 150 selected bloggers from around the world is no small honor that I share with the whole parish, as this blog is part of the "fault" that I was invited. It is an achievement shared by all.
Press the picture to see the guest list.
The international press was there and took us to interview everyone as we went. Can be seen in many chronic youtube multitude of channels and television. included one where I will be clueless in the middle pause, looking for a blogger priest from Costa Rica that I wanted to say hello.
can see numerous photographs of the meeting at this link. PULSE . I can see in the picture which is just above the first of the Father Lombardi.
What I can comment on the meeting? Many things and very diverse. First to greet the thrill of famous bloggers like Sandro Magister or Antonio Spadaro among many. Contact and greet with many others who knew from facebook. To make a long post too, can read a brief story that I posted in my blog on Freedom of Religion: PULSE .
But most importantly, everything you told us from the Church itself and summarized using a few phrases spoken:
Archbishop Claudio Maria Celli : "In the blog there are people and the Church is interested in meeting with people."
Elizabeth Scalia: "The Catholic bloggers can help clarify information on the Church in the media traditional media "" The Church needs us bloggers also in terms of evangelization "
Roderick P. Vonhogen: " Unable to communicate the faith, unless we find common alphabet for all. "
Jean-François Beylot: " Today Christ preached using a blog. The official Church can not say, but we dare to write as a Catholic "

FedericoLombardi Father: " Bloggers are Catholic opinion in the Church. The teaching of the Council and said this really . "
If you want to read through the intervention of Father Lombardi, I have translated this entry: PULSE
I do not want any further trouble, but do not stop to reflect on the role that new media have in the Church and our responsibility as Catholics to be present in them .
Best wishes. Néstor Mora:)
